Adult Education Programs

Adult Education at Congregation Adath Jeshurun provides a wide array of learning opportunities for its members. Each year, a variety of unique learning experiences are offered. At times there are individual presentations from both congregants or well-known specialists (Trudy Rubin, journalist/columnist). There have also been classes that run for several sessions that cover a variety of topics such as “Living Judaism,” “Jewish Wisdom for the End of Life Journey,” or "The  Chinese Jewish Community." These are taught by our clergy, members of the AJ community, or specialists.

Noontime Torah

We offer Noontime Torah which is open to the entire community. It meets in the AJ Library on Tuesdays from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. This program is sponsored by the Rabbinical Assembly and is a rabbi-led discussion and analysis of the weekly Torah portion or other stimulating topic. Each class is self-contained so you can participate on any given week. Bring a lunch and a Bible; beverages will be provided.

Hebrew for Adults
Periodically, we offer Hebrew classes for adults, whether they are beginners, or want to improve their skills. Contact the AJ office at 215.635.6611 or to learn more.

Orange County Community Scholar Program (CSP)
Congregation Adath Jeshurun, dedicated to the Jewish value of learning for its own sake (Torah lishmah), is excited to announce a partnership with the Orange County Community Scholar Program (CSP). As a partner with CSP, we’ll join a small group of synagogues enjoying the best Jewish learning available. AJ has the distinction of being the first Pennsylvania synagogue to partner with CSP.
