On Sunday, September 22, L’olam will visit Farmer Emma at her woman-owned and -operated farm in Pottstown, PA: Kneehigh Farm. We will learn about the farm’s sustainable practices to preserve soil health and how the use of pesticides is eliminated from the crops. Farmer Emma will tell us about her flax project growing fiber for cloth and clothing. We will carpool from AJ leaving at 1:00 PM. Wear comfortable shoes appropriate for trekking on farm fields and uneven surfaces. Please bring some cash to purchase farm-fresh produce and flowers from Farmer Emma.
