“About Zion” with Rav Shai Cherry, PhD is a six-part class on four Thursday evenings: November 21, January 12, February 6, and May 22; and two Sunday mornings: March 23 and April 27 (morning sessions include brunch). ***There will be a separate registration form for each session.***

Jewish educators and rabbis have done a better job teaching Jewish values than Jewish history. This six-session course dives deep into the history of the relationship between the People of Israel and the Land of Israel. The six sessions will focus on the biblical period, the rabbinic period, the Enlightenment, the Harbingers of Political Zionism, the pre-State period, and the War of Independence. Several of our movies in “Jewsday Night at the Movies” will correspond to our curriculum. 

Part 3 covers the Enlightenment. This session can be attended in person at AJ or via Zoom. It will begin at 7:30 PM.
