AJ Adult Education Lunch 'n Learn: Returning, Remembering, Forgiving,” with Roald Hoffmann

The AJ Adult Education Committee is greatly honored to welcome Professor Roald Hoffmann, Professor Emeritus in the Department of Chemistry & Chemical Biology at Cornell University, for a catered Lunch ‘n Learn on Saturday, April 5 at 12:15 PM. Among his many achievements, Professor Hoffman won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1981 and has published extensively in the chemical sciences as well as in general nonfiction, and is author of several plays and poetry. Professor Hoffman, who is also the machuten of AJ’s own beloved Marcia Webber z”l, was born in the small Polish (now Ukrainian) town of Zolochiv in 1937 and is a survivor of the Holocaust. In his talk, “Returning, Remembering, and Forgiving,” we will learn his personal story of survival and postwar wandering, leading ultimately to great acclaim as an academician in America. It promises to be a poignant and deeply moving experience.
