Adult Ed Brunch 'n Learn with Reena Sigman Friedman: American Jews and Social Justice

In the spirit of the upcoming High Holidays, and in anticipation of AJ’s trip to the New York Jewish Museum exhibit, “Ben Shahn: On Nonconformity,” Dr. Reena Sigman Friedman will give a presentation on American Jews’ long-standing involvement with a variety of social justice causes in this country. Dr. Friedman is Associate Professor of Modern Jewish History at the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College, as well as Adjunct Professor of Jewish History at Gratz College. Her talk will examine the prominent roles played by rabbis, political figures, labor organizers, and other activists in advocating for the rights of all members of American society. 

The brunch/program is on Sunday, September 21, at 10:00 AM. The cost is $10 for AJ members, and $18 for non-members.
