Artist Diana Meyers (aunt of our own Denise Portner) will be hosting AJWA on Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. for her exhibit: Branching Out: A Celebration of Trees @ Old City Jewish Arts Center at 119 North Third Street, Philadelphia. Branching Out is a multi-media/multi-dimensional exhibit commemorating the holiday of Tu B’Shevat. It honors trees featured in the Bible and celebrates the four seasons. The exhibit was influenced by Diana's experience living in Israel as well as her love of Jewish life and ritual. Also on display will be SOS: 2020, a series developed in response to the unprecedented year of pandemic, racial strife and more. Light refreshments will be served, and chairs will be available for those who need to sit during the talk.
