Nashira, the Jewish Chorale of Greater Philadelphia, Joins Bucks County Choral Society on May 19

In our turbulent world, gathering in Jewish community is more important than ever. Nashirah, the Jewish Chorale of Greater Philadelphia, will join with the Bucks County Choral Society to perform the preeminent concert setting of the Jewish liturgy: Ernest Bloch’s dramatic Avodath Hakodesh. The program will also include the premiere of a new work by Cantor Natasha J. Hirschhorn, "Blessing of Peace," and Thomas Lloyd’s recent setting of Psalm 46, "River of Gladness." Feat. soloist Cantor Benjamin Warschawski. Performances are on Sunday, May 19 at 5:00 PM at Congregation Rodeph Shalom (615 Broad St., Philadelphia) and Sunday, June 2 at 4:00 PM at Our Lady of Mount Carmel (235 East State St., Doylestown). Adult tickets, $25 at
