Selichot Program

"Unrequested Forgiveness"

For many of us, forgiveness is particularly challenging. Aren’t there some violations that preclude forgiveness? According to the halakhah, the offender must appease the victim. What if the offender is dead? What if we just can’t be appeased?

These are difficult questions. But, this Selihot, let’s ask something even more difficult. What about unrequested forgiveness? Can and should we forgive those who have made no effort to apologize? Join us as we discuss some fundamental issues of relationships in the days leading up to Rosh Hashanah.
