Rabbinical Candidates
In the month of March, we'll welcome two candidates for the position of Rabbi at AJ. The first candidate, Rabbi Moshe Saks, of Scranton, PA, visited on Friday, March 1 through Sunday, March 3. The second candidate, Rabbi Shai Cherry, of Solana Beach, CA, will visit on Friday, March 22 through Sunday, March 24. We hope you'll mark these dates down on your calendar and plan to come and meet both candidates!
March 1-3: Rabbi Moshe Saks and his wife, Meira, from Scranton, PA
March 1: Strings Attached and Oneg, beginning at 6:15 PM
March 2: Shabbat morning service beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by an extended Kiddush lunch
March 2: Mincha, Ma'ariv and Havdalah service, 5:20 PM
March 3: Meet, Greet, and Eat. 9:00 AM, after morning minyan
March 22-24: Rabbi Shai Cherry and his wife, Dr. Rebecca Cherry, from Solana Beach, CA
March 22: Strings Attached and Oneg, beginning at 6:15 PM Teaching Topic: Priestly Religion
March 23: Shabbat morning service beginning at 9:30 AM, followed by an extended Kiddush lunch Teaching Topic during service: Conservative Judaism on One Foot; Teaching Topic during lunch: Conservative Judaism on the Other Foot
March 23: Mincha, Ma'ariv and Havdalah service, 6:45 PM Teaching Topic: Mosaic Religion
March 24: Meet, Greet, and Eat. 9:00 AM, after morning minyan Teaching Topic: Coherent Religion
We need you to RSVP if you plan to attend the Oneg Shabbat on Friday evening, the Kiddush luncheon on Saturday, and/or the Meet, Greet, and Eat event on Sunday. Please send an email to us at rsvp@adathjeshurun.info and note whether you will be attending the Friday night Oneg, the Kiddish luncheon on Saturday, and/or the Meet, Greet, and Eat event on Sunday. Let us know how many in your family will be attending. Alternatively, you can call the synagogue office at 215.635.6611.
If you plan to attend at least one service each weekend (and we hope you will!), look for a survey to complete on the following Monday morning.
