Jews fought on both sides of the United States Civil War. The Weitzman Museum is hosting AJ for a special tour to look at Jewish involvement in the Civil War on both sides of the Mason-Dixon line. This trip will be complemented by a learning session with Rav Shai on the evening of February 5 at 7:30 PM (click here to register) and a Brunch ‘n Learn with Dr. Melissa Klapper on Sunday, March 1 at 10:00 AM (click here to register). Dr. Klapper will be discussing a wartime diary of a Southern Jewess. These three sessions will give us three different lenses to examine Judaism, slavery, and the role of American Jews in the Civil War. We'll meet at the museum at 10:00 AM. Cost: No charge.
