Adath Jeshurun Men's Association will present a 20-minute audio podcast interview with David Nasaw, author of the new book, The Last Million. A sweeping new history of the one million refugees left behind in Germany after WW2. British and American soldiers gathered the malnourished and desperate refugees and attempted to repatriate them. But after exhaustive efforts, there remained more than a million displaced persons left behind in Germany: Jews, Poles, Estonians, Latvians, Lithuanians, Ukrainians, and other Eastern Europeans who refused to go home or had no homes to return to. Following the podcast we'll have a brief discussion and perhaps try to connect the story above to what we are in the midst of, namely, the largest global movement of people since WW2. 8:15 PM
