MARCH

3/25     Preschool Passover Model Seder

3/27     Tefillah Study. With Rabbi Simon-Hazani, in the AJ Library. 9:00 a.m.

3/27     Birthday and Anniversary Shabbat. If you would like to be acknowledged by joining in an aliyah with others who are celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, please contact Manya Monson at 215.635.1337 or manyamonson@adathjeshurun.info.

APRIL

4/2       Passover Shabbat Dinner. Join us for a Passover Shabbat dinner catered by Betty the Caterer. Doors open at 5:00 p.m.; last seating is at 6:30 p.m.; and the buffet closes at 7:00 p.m. Shabbat services with choir and organ are at 7:30 p.m. Call the synagogue office at 215.635.6611 for reservations by April 11. Adults (16 and older), $38; children (5-15), $18; and families of four (two adults and two children), $100. Please pay at the door prior to 6:45 p.m. Download a flyer with the menu here.

4/6       Yizkor Memorial Service. 9:30 a.m.

4/10     Meditation and Chanting. Led by Rabbi Yaacov Kravitz, in the AJ Library. 9:45 a.m.

4/10     6th Grade Bar/Bat Mitzvah Program and Lunch.

4/10     Hazzan’s Tish. Following services.

4/11     Ceremony for the Six Million on the Parkway.

4/11     High School Participates in Conversation with a Holocaust Survivor.

4/11     Community Service Project for Grades K, 1 and 2. Students will go to the Jewish Relief Agency to pack boxes for delivery to homebound seniors.

4/11     Kehillah Yom HaShoah. Holocaust Remembrance Day. 7:00 p.m. At AJ.

4/12     Holocaust Memorial Day.

4/17     K,1, and 2 Special Shabbat Service.

4/17     Seudah Shelishit. Join us for the “third” meal of the day. 6:30 p.m.

4/18     Men’s Association and AJWA Sisterhood Breakfast: An Introduction to Philadelphia Reads (with Adrienne Jacoby, Philadelphia Reads Executive Director and AJ congregant.) No fee or RSVP needed. For more information, contact Naomi Atkins. (An AJWA Sisterhood and AJ Men’s Association Joint Program)

4/18     Religious School Israel Program. During school with Israeli breakfast.

4/20-   Clothing Drive. Start your Spring cleaning by bringing your gently used clothing, linens and shoes (tied or bagged in

    /23   pairs) to AJ's lower lobby.

4/19     Robyn Orodenker Book Club. Book: A Pigeon and a Boy, by Meir Salev. 8:00 p.m. (following 7:30 Minyan).

4/23     Shabbat Family Dinner. Hosted by the Religious School. The theme is “A Taste of Israel”.

4/23     Strings Attached. Hazzan Glantz presents Kabbalat Shabbat with strings attached. This is a family-friendly participatory service and the most important feature is YOU! 6:15 p.m.

4/24     Tefillah Study. With Rabbi Simon-Hazani, in the AJ Library. 9:00 a.m.

4/25     Torah Fund Brunch. The Torah Fund committee is delighted to announce our 2009-2010 Woman of Achievement honoree: Sima Sussman. We look forward to expressing our thanks to Sima for the many years she has served AJ.
