Mondays: The day is spent with classic children's literature and some of our favorite fairy tales: Madeline, The Ugly Duckling, Rumplestiltskin, and Humpty Dumpty. Through puppets, role playing and arts & crafts, these stories are told and re-told, becoming childhood favorites. Tuesdays: The children explore music, cultures and values. They have the opportunity to express their ideas using their imagination through the "Arts of a Different Color". Wednesdays: Our children transform themselves into "Kindercooks". Recipes are followed to the 1/4 teaspoon and gobbled up as soon as the delicious delights are ready. Thursdays: This is "Science Scout" day. On these afternoons, the children do simple experiments and study such units as air, wind, plants and animals. Fridays: As a follow up to the morning Pre-Shabbat celebration, the afternoons are spent telling Bible stories. The children learn about Abraham all the way through Moses. Puppets and dramatizations are used as teaching aids, and each story is followed by an arts & crafts project. Please visit the website for Congregation Adath Jeshurun
